Local Man's Charity Arctic Swim SAM OWENS BEN LAU ANTHONY GOERITZ A local man will embark on a charity swim to raise money for Cancer Treatment & Research Trust. Sam Owens, from Nantwich, has been training to swim 3km in arctic waters. The race will take place at midnight on the 15th July, starting in Sweden and ending in Finland. Sam will be joined by Anthony Goeritz & Ben Lau, two friends he met through a previous job. The three have recently been training in Alderford Lake, as well as Delamere Forest. Sam told us that he does not mind cold water and is very excited to push his body to the limit. Anthony has been training in cold water wearing only his speedos to try and build up his tolerance to the cold. Ben was confident, claiming he swims like a wild beaver. None of the boys have experience swimming in cold water for long distances. Sam & Ben work in office jobs for London based companies, whereas Anthony is an up and coming drill rapper who goes by the name "AG Barz".
